UB40

UB40 (Unemployment Benefit Form 40) is a dub band formed in the late 70s in Birmingham.

The Brummie reggae stars first ever gig took place in 1979 at The Hare & Hounds Pub in Kings Heath, Birmingham, for a friend's birthday and they haven't looked back ever since.

The band has since gone onto collaborate with the likes of Pato Banton, 808 State, Madness, Robert Palmer, Chrissie Hynde and Afrika Bamaataa.

Their most recent album, Who You Fighting For?, was released in 2005 and reached No.20 on the UK music charts.
