St. Mary's Hidden Gem



St. Mary's, also known as the Hidden Gem, was founded in 1794 is widely regarded as the oldest post-Reformation Catholic church founded as a church in any major centre of population in England.

Today, the church is opened for exposition, holy mass, and confessions and also the permanent home of the Norman Adams Stations of the Cross paintings - one of the great ecclesiastical commissions in the country this century.
