Operatic Metal pioneers Nightwish from Finland is best known for their powerful keyboard tones and soaring symphony arrangements reminiscent of classic film scores. Formed in 1996, the band has combined the symphonic arrangements with a distinct combination of seductive, emotional and operatic vocals and gallant guitar melodies to ensure a patriotic fan base across the globe.
The band is touring the UK in April and will play Manchester Apollo in support of their new album, Dark Passion Play, released in September 2007.
