The Manchester Jewish Museum is housed in a beautiful Moorish style building built in 1874 and features a permanent exhibition consisting of a kitchen in Red Bank, with the table set for the Sabbath meal; a waterproof garments maker's factory, and the office of early Zionist Joseph Massel, have been recreated in detail to portray the lives of ordinary people.
Exhibits aside, the building is a beautiful example of Victorian architecture with many visitors coming to witness and take photos of the splendid stained glass windows and the distinctive cast-iron fitments.
