Formed in the mid-1970's by ex-Santana guitarist Neal Schon, Journey released three moderately successful jazz-influenced rock albums before hiring vocalist Steve Perry in 1977. That personnel change resulted in a musical shift towards a more pop oriented style, as immediately evidenced with Infinity and it's hit songs "Lights" and "Wheel In The Sky."
