Imperial War Museum North

Manchester's Imperial War Museum North is located in an award-winning building by international architect Daniel Libeskind at The Quays, a waterfront destination 2 miles from Manchester city centre.
The museum is dedicated to war and conflict and about how lives have been, and still are, shaped by them and features permanent displays and special exhibitions of wartime memorabilia including a First World War flamethrower and a fragment from Rudolph Hess’ aeroplane, which crashed near Dunbeath, Caithness in Scotland in May 1941, just to name a few.

Open daily.
March - October: 10am - 6pm
November - February: 10am - 5pm
(Closed 24, 25, 26 December).
