Mancunian's flock to Heaton Park when they want to escape the daily grind of their busy city lifestyles and it's easy to see why because located just 4 miles north of the city centre and there is just so much to see and do that it keeps people coming back again and again.
The park is one of the largest municipal parks in Europe and boasts 247 hectares of parkland and its spectacular gently rolling scenery provides an attractive setting for leisure activities for visitors of all ages.
The park also contains 8 listed structures including the splendid Grade I listed Heaton Hall, a James Wyatt house described by Pevsner as 'one of the finest houses of its period in the country'.
