Greater Manchester Police Museum

June 27th 2008 10:30
Greater Manchester Police

The Greater Manchester Police Museum offers a fantastic insight into crime-fighting during the days of gas lamps and narrow alleys, of slums and unruly alehouses of the Victorian era.

The museum features original Victorian cells with wooden pillows, galleries containing historic police equipment, uniforms and other artifacts from the region, photographic collections and a transport gallery containing a variety of vehicles used by the police from the 1950s to the modern day.
