Free Trade Hall

Free Trade Hall

The Manchester Free Trade Hall, originally built in the 1850s and later reconstructed after World War II, has a very rich history and once was the centre for public debate and cultural activities.

It was also a political gathering place, a symbol of free trade, and, later a concert venue. Today, it has been converted into a hotel, but fortunately, the facade of this grand old building remains - the rest has been completely rebuilt - but that hasn't stopped tourists from visiting and taking pictures of this historical building.
